1050ti, are these fake graphics cards?

Casper_UK

Hi, I'm looking to buy my first dedicated graphics card, from looking on ebay their seems to be a fair few 1050ti's which are marked as brand new and are priced between £40 to £50, and I was wondering, with the saying if something's too good to be true it usually is, https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_odkw=1050ti&_sop=15&_osacat=27386&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR8.TRC1.A0.H0.X1050ti+(4G%2C+4GB).TRS0&_nkw=1050ti+(4G%2C+4GB)&_sacat=27386 could anyone confirm if these are possibly fake or are they perhaps legit and I'm just reading too much into it, cheers.

I thought so, cheers.

I think it'll be best I go with a reputable retailer instead of risking buying from ebay.

I'd vote fake. Mostly from far east, unbranded, don't look like anything known good and some look like the other fakes seen previously.

No need to do that necessarily, just filter for used instead of new. The scam cards are all listed as new products.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

I think most are fake or either way will have terrible cooling but search up the 1050ti pcb and if they match then yes it is. And make sure it is the right chip and listed on the Pcb (gp1037b2) or whatever it is for the 1050ti

I had thought about that, but then thought about all the people who might of used their cards for bitcoin mining, which as far as i know might reduce the life left in a card?

In your area there is only about a £20 difference between a 1050ti and a 1060 3gb. The 1060 is much better for a very small increase in price.

Here, not using stock photos, good AIB, used item, not scam.

All bs. Mining cards have lots of life, and nobody mined on a 1050 ti.

or you could just get a 1060 3gb for the same price used. There is very little reason to get a 1050ti over a 1060 3gb now that prices have come way down on them. The only exception being you need a LP card or need a card that can run just off the motherboards power... so prebuilt systems.

The copy/paste description and stock photo usage of this listing makes me wary. Buyer protection is nice, but you'd still have to wait that much longer for a graphics card if you got scammed.

Also, if OP was gonna get a $150 1050 ti from a retailer, then why not get the most GPU for $150?
