Why is speccy showing my gpu as only 4GB?

mikedrewsmy

Why is my graphic card only showing 4GB of GDDR?
After people told me to upgrade, i upgrade from 1050 Ti yesterday.
Did i get a China copy version or is my gpu broken.
Do i need to sli them first only then i can see my correct VRAM.

The Titan RTX is a brand new card so Speccy probably doesn't have support for it yet.

Uh, did you pay $5000 for those two titan RTX GPUs?

Did you buy them from a reputable retailer?

Because if not you probably got scammed.

If OP got it from a shady seller, it would be good to verify what they've actually purchased. There are cards being sold on eBay and other Chinese storefronts like Alibaba that report as one card, but if you actually probe it with say GPU-z, find out it's not really that card. For example:

The last thing to give it away would be the memory. Using a bad program isn’t a proper way to verify a card.

And if someone buys their titans off eBay for less then the msrp, they deserve to get fake cards that have been talked about for years now. This isn’t a 960.
