Drive - storage doesn't add up

Sorry, its not letting me to downscale the images, so I had to link them below.

[ Image #1 ] - I have a 500 GB external drive, the property window says I've used 176 GB.

[ Image #2 ] - But  when I select all folders inside the drive and click on properties, the total size of the files is 116 GB.

Why is there a 60 GB difference?

Could be hidden folders, have you enabled those via View > Hidden Items (checkbox on the right)?

Otherwise, the thing suggested above is likely the culprit.

Use windirstat to see all the used space.

Even showing hidden folders will not show everything that is on the drive.

Also check windows disk management to see if there are other partitions.
