Mario party is awesome for groups

dead cells is fun

Stardew Valley is so good, even with a controller

Both Bayonetta games are enjoyable

Unless you just hate platformers, Super Mario Odyssey is incredible and IMO the best game Nintendo has made since Zelda A Link to the Past back on the SNES. For shooters you have Doom, Wolfenstein II, and Splatoon 2. Both Bayonettas are top notch action games. Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze is a pretty cool 2D platformer. There are some good RPG on the system like Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Octopath Traveler, and The World Ends With You (this last one sucks docked though, gotta play it handheld). I gotta say I'm intrigued by Pokemon Let's Go also after hearing they're remakes of Pokemon Yellow (I never played Yellow back on the Game Boy but I did really like Pokemon Red).

Super Mario Odyssey, basically the only Switch Game I have right now.

What I'm planning on getting is Fire Emblem Warriors next month, as its rather cheap for a Nintendo Game, It shouldn't be a Problem...

Already have Hyrule Warriors on WiiU, as Bayonetta 2, Mario Kart 8, Splatoon and the other ones.

But if you don't have it on WiiU, Bayonetta and the 2nd Part is  an awesome choice. A 3rd part should come soon as well.

With Octopath Traveler I have my beefs after the Demo. The Story seems good, but the Graphics?? No, just no. That Classical 8bittish design isn't something I like too much. They should have given me the choice between that and a 3D Version like Final Fantasy 3 and 4.

The shooters that are also on PC; I wouldn't bother because the hardware of the Switch isn't that great and maybe a bit better than last gen but no comparisation to this gen.

And they aren't even that powerful by todays standard...

Donkey Kong is a really hard Plattformer like in the olden days. If you like it, its good.

Don't the dbrand skins completely fuck the finish on the joycons if you ever try to remove them? Or did they fix that?

No, the PRO COntroller is recommended for various reasons.

And also a Screen Protector is highly recommended.

I disagree with a lot of this List, because they are available on other Plattforms.

Hollow Knight

Enter the Gungeon

I'd get those on PC or so, If they are on sale and want them.

Same as above...

If Nintendo would have had a Partnership with Valve and offer them on both plattforms, OK.

As for Mario Kart 8:
Tim Pool lately shit on it for getting (good??) Rewards for loosing a race...

But right now there ware some bundles with MK8, wich I sadly did not get (Had to drive another ~30-40km and didn't know how much fuel was left)...

That your opinion.

I enjoy those on the Switch for the on the go play.

Not everyone buys just exclusives on a console or handheld plateform.

Also, lets keep to the subject of the thread.  The OP wants to know some good games to get on the Switch, which I provided one based on my opinion.

True, did that myself with SotTR and got it on PS4. For 2 Reasons: The nVidia shit inside and Archievements.

Anyway, I'd focus on the Exclusives FIRST and then think about the non exclusives, if they make sense...

the Switch sadly has not the best Hardware and thus I'd get the games that need good performance (DOOM) on other Plattforms instead...

I think most of the major games have been suggested.  If you subscribe to the nintendo online service you do get a library of classic NES games which is slowly growing.

I plan to get a raspberry PI for Christmas so I can Install emu software.

Not sure about you but I think my 7 year old CPU still rips

I have a Raspberry Pi 3B and it's amazing for PS1, Genesis/Megadrive, PC Engine, and MAME. But for NES and SNES the SNES/NES Classics are far superior. Less input lag and excellent controllers (though you'll definitely want an extension cable, especially for NES controllers). Plus NES/SNES Classic are the exact same hardware under the hood, so you can dual boot and the controllers are interchangeable (though good luck playing SNES on an NES controller with only A & B buttons).

My plan is to get a PI 3B+ to use with the emu and debian

I just want to warn you the input lag with Retropie makes some NES/SNES games virtually unplayable while they run great on the NES/SNES Classic. Super Mario World is one example (Linus seems to always talk about this game and input lag)

Also the Pi can't emulate N64 very well, nor Saturn nor Dreamcast. I jumped on the Raspberry Pi wagon when these classic systems started coming out, thinking they were stupid. Then I got gifted an SNES Classic last Christmas and it completely blows the Pi away for SNES/NES emulation.
