GPU with 1 working DVI port, how to run multiple monitors?

Hey ltt,

 

alright, i need some ideas on how to run my second monitor on my second pc using hdmi.

currently the gtx 780 has only one working dvi port and i can't use the motherboard because no ports

the gtx 780 was bought defect and i fixed it but turns out only one port works out of the 4.

 

are there any pci cards or anything i can buy to run the other monitor?

maybe a second cheap gpu will work? if yes how would this work with drivers?

the motherboard has HDMI, you can get HDMI to DVI

I was basing it off the main system in your sig, a little more info would be nice.

Sure, but only if that's the only slot you have available. You can find PCIe x1 video cards if you'd rather use one of those slots (https://www.amazon.com/ZOTAC-GeForce-Profile-Graphic-ZT-71304-20L/dp/B01E9Z2D60)

Just install the drivers for the video card. This will add to what you have installed and both should work.

well i mean, i said second pc and said the mobo has no ports.. what more info would you need then.
