What screen size you are looking for. You wont get the same answer if you look for 30 inch as if you look for 100 inch

"24" 4k iz da best" xD (joking)

Well.. I've seen many monitors and I can say that for best visuals 1080p goes for 24", 27 - 30 - 1440p and what's over 30" should go for 4k in my opinion.

At this moment I'm using a 1080p 27" monitor and it's pretty big(you can actually see the pixels way easier than on 24") in comparison with a 1080p 24".

If you don't care about competitive games then maybe yes, if you do - then no.

if you have a monitor of lets say around 27''...1440p is the sweet spot...if we're talking a TV with a screen size of 40'' or better...then 4K becomes relevant.

Anything above 4K is pointless...and 1080p is outdated and disgusting unless we're talking a display that is 20'' or less.

If you find yourself mainly web browsing and watching videos instead of gaming, 4k is nice. Not to mention if the monitor has a dead pixel, it will barely be visible on 4k and you can always just drop the resolution of games to 1080p to play them...(Don't get anything lower than 27" for a 4k monitor)

Otherwise, like the others have said, 1440p is the current sweet spot.

Graphics Cards are not ready for 8k and 16k resolutions, first of all no movie is of such resolution and secondly games could run at it but you'd need to spend a lot of money on sick 2way NVLink RTX 8000 setup.

mehh this is ''alright'' i guess if you're on a budget those monitors are dirt cheap and don't require a lot of GPU processing horsepower...

The pixel density would be higher, which would technically make for a "crisper" image over 4k.

But, it's not realistic today. I don't even know if you can get an 8k monitor, much less 16k.

But unless you're sitting 15 cm from your screen, you wouldn't see much difference between 4k and 8k.
