Posted January 19, 2014 LoL doesn't really optimize for anything, they just assume your computer will be more than enough to run it. So as many people suggest first try turning off SLI because odds are it's barely supported. Shadow quality/disabling it can cause huge performance differences; The howling abyss (all random all mid map) destroys FPS on would be capable machines; certain particles with certain skins/champions will cause fps drop. There's a limit frame rate option that may be enabled, check to see if it's set. And I always like to tell people not to worry if their fps is higher than their monitor's refresh rate. Honestly odds are it's just league being league, no one really cares about optimizations on a game like that.
