so that means, since you already have the major components, you could go out and get a different GPU, id suggest a gtx 1070, either a new i5 (like an 8600) or a ryzen 5 2600, a compatible motherboard, and new ram.

So this is my plan rtn i return my grpahic card buy an geforce 1070 ti strix and isent the 1070 ti nearly as good as the rtx 2070

eah i just made the jump from an I4690K to a Ryzen 7 2700x. Despite boo-booing the ram install, (put the dimms in different channels so i'm stuck in single channel mode, MB lacked colouring and manual was even more confusing, i'll fix it when my new GPU arrives as i'll need to remove the CPU cooler to fix it), i've seen a major performance uptick.

Whilst others have given the OP good advice. Honestly there isn't anything he could have put in that wouldn't have bottlenecked the RTX 2070 to at least some degree.

 

@ChanceWithpants Yeah a Ryzen 5, 2 sticks of Ram, (8GB minimum, 16 if you can swing it), and a GTX 1070 sound like a good combo, just make sure your PSU can handle that load and your upgraded to win 10 as anything past your current gen will not work on any older OS.
