Sounds like your search indexer is somewhat broken. Make sure the Windows Search service is running and that your search indexer options show that your start menu is being indexed.

press WIN+R and type in services.msc and hit enter. Then scroll down until you find Windows Search and verify that startup is set to automatic and that it's running. If necessary, restart the service.

That's alright. It likes to trash your disk, so that's fine.

Wonderful OS, Windows 10, isn't it? Guess why I'm on 8.1 still....

Anyway, that's beside the point. Can you check your taskmanager's details tab to verify Searchindexer.exe is running?

Did you use any system tweak tool on your system? Did you use some tool to "disable" Cortana?

Check Event Viewer for errors related to this. (Right-click on the Start Menu button (or do Win+X) > Event Viewer, and browse around under "Windows Logs" > "System" and "Applications" section (found on the left side navigation pane). See if there are any error related to Cortana, Start Menu, or Indexing.

Nope!

Besides some google chrome things, nothing to disable anything tho.

Under System there are ALOT of DistributedCOM Errors

Under Applications there are alot of Errors too.. But none with any thing listed alot of Application Errors, Office 2016, .NET Runtime..
