how do i make an appointment to take a drivers written test? i dont have an friends so i cant ask anyone else 

which or what should i press?

dmv never calls me back to answer my questions and waiting in line for dmv.. take like an hour

Have you already applied for a DL/ID?

Otherwise, I presume you'd need to apply then you'll probably be asked to schedule an appointment...

 

 

California's a weird state however, so I'm not entirely sure.

Based on the above options, I would click on "Office Visit Appointment", and see where that takes you.

 

But I assume you can just show up at a DMV and request to take the test without booking ahead? Though this could be incorrect.

I think that might be the way to go. When I was getting my California state ID looked like they could schedule a test for you if you didn’t have one scheduled already at the DMV.
