Renaming / tagging my existing attachments/uploads? (some have generic names, making searching "insert existing attachment" impossible)

PianoPlayer88Key

Hey, is there a possible way I could rename and/or tag my uploaded attachments?  A lot of them are uploaded with very generic names (similar to Screenshot (37).jpg, IMG_20170722_235201786.jpg, Jx733nbhsd8238nfud.jpg, etc).  It makes it impossible to search for things, cause they don't come up in the search results when I'm searching in the "insert existing attachment" popup.

Also I have like 13 pages of attachments when going to the profile dropdown -> attachments box, or 26 pages in the insert other media -> insert existing attachment popup.  Looking through each picture to find what I want is VERY tedious, especially on mobile.  (I sometimes have resorted to having a few threads in the test forum open where I post a bunch of pics to see them full size, and try to find the one I want to reuse for a post, but I'd rather not have to do that.)

(Also I wasn't sure whether to put this in bugs or features, but I was pretty sure it wouldn't go in general discussion, any of the hardware boards, tech news (duh) or others that I quickly scrolled past.)

@colonel_mortis As far as I know, there's no way to rename.

(Moved to feature suggestions as it would be adding new functionality rather than just fixing a bug with existing code).

That makes sense, and to my knowledge it's not a stock feature. Unfortunately, it's something that would have to be implemented by IPS (the forum software devs), and the chances of them doing that are pretty slim. I will suggest it to them, but don't hold your breath.
