Record with Nvidia Geforce Experience to NAS drive?

image.png.3d5256d9dfca0a97163f38eebd182047.png

I'm trying to record with Nvidia's software to my NAS drive but it doesn't detect it. I've been successful in using OBS to record to my NAS for a few years now, but my cpu is kinda out of date and I can't record intense games at a decent quality. I was wondering if there is a config file somewhere or something that I can change to make it record to the NAS. Please send help!

Is it mapped as a network drive?

I did the same thing, and I was able to get my network drives to appear(I'm using FreeNAS for my operating system on the server).

What OS is your NAS running?

It's some default thing from Synology according to my Dad.

I wonder if changing the settings for CIFS/SMB would allow GeForce Experience to see it. Are you able to navigate through the drive(s) using Windows Explorer? And are they tied to a letters?

I can navigate through it but it's a network drive and not a fake local drive like with iscsi.

Can you post a screenshot to verify we're on the same page?

Okay, so it's not mapped as a network drive. You want it to show up as an actual network drive, like below:

I finally fixed it and it shows up as an Iscsi drive. I'm about to test recordings

In the future, with Windows itself, if you right click on the folder, you can map that to a drive letter and generally use it as a "local drive" of sorts.

it was connected to my old computer as a 'local drive' and I had to disconnect it.
