Lawn Mover

I'm thinking about making a mini solar powered lawn mover and have decided to buy a DC motor (12v or 24v)

Will a high speed motor suffice? Or should i go for a high torque motor?

With proper gearing reduction, any high RPM motor becomes a high torque motor

Speed will probably be the best. Lawnmowers don't really need or use a whole lot of torque to my knowledge.
