Nokia 8 Sirocco name trademarked - Nokia's take on ultra premium flagships

Djole123

So, as you know, Nokia is hard at work resurrecting old, nostalgic names for their phones. While some, like the Nokia 3310 (2017), were a bit of a gimmick, in a day and age of ultra premium flagships such as the iPhone X and Galaxy Note 8, it only makes sense that Nokia does it too.

And so, Nokia is bringing back the Sirocco brand, as a memory of this phone, the 8800 Sirocco:

So, not much is known about the Nokia 8 Sirocco. It might get a stainless steel frame like the 8800 (or possibly something else if they re-release the Arte line aswell), and it also might get an LG made OLED screen, but what is known is that the internals will be the same as the standard Nokia 8, like the Snapdragon 835 SoC, a dual Zeiss camera, and those thick front bezels.

What do you think? Will this satisfy the 8800 fans or will it be just be another niche product to show their bravado?

To anyone working at HMD Global: Please make the Nokia 8 Arte. PLEASE. I would buy a carbon fiber smartphone today if such existed.

I find it noble that Nokia is bringing back nostalgic phones from nostalgic times. I can't imagine using one, but it does look pretty nice.

Perhaps it will have a sapphire crystal display again? (Doubtful to me, but its fun to speculate on random stuff)

Edit: Thinking about it more, I think they would have to layer it on LG's display if they had gone that route

More interested in the Nokia 9 (hopefully it has a bigger screen), and the phone rumored to have a penta camera arrangement.

I really want to see them crush in the camera department.
