Do I Have a Leak?

Go to solution Solved by Tam3n,

I have a fairly complex loop bleeding wise, so after shaking and working most of the air out, and topping up the reservoir, I lose about 2-3 cm water during the couple of first weeks. If you think about it, the air doesn't leak out so to speak, otherwise you would have vacuum in the reservoir. Instead, it will just slowly make its way to the reservoir with the flowing water.

Water will slowly evaporate and diffuse through plastic tubing, so expect the water level to always slowly get lower. Hot environment will accelerate this process.

I have a soft tubing custom loop that I just did like 2 weeks ago. I did leak test and flush. So I recently realized me reservoir level has been like half a centimeter lower than it used to be. I check around for leaks but I saw no residue from my primochill true coolant. I felt the fittings and res but I felt no moist or liquid. So far the coolant level seems like it has not gone down anymore but I am still worried. Could it still be air bubbles in my rads, blocks, or tubes? I have a EK-360SE rad an EK m9h monoblock.

Yeah it's likely just air leaking out since it's only 2 weeks, but fill it up and watch it, if it happens again it might be a slow leak.

Ditto on what ol' Enderman said. Probably just air slowly working its way out. Just top it off and keep an eye on it. ;)

Its either a air pocket came loose,Or if you live somewhere warm a tiny bit can leave to evaporation

Depending on how many blocks/rads are in the loop, could just being getting rid of air. And it’s gonna lose liquid regardless.

What do you mean it’s going to lose liquid regardless

I believe that’s covered under fluid dynamics. No getting around it.
