Why are so many driving fails in Russia and China?

kelvinhall05

I know it's weird, but I like watching dash cam/driver fail compilations. Not like deadly crashes, but stuff like retarded drivers shifting into reverse instead of first or drive and stuff like that. Anyways, almost all of these in almost every video I watch (unless explicitly stated otherwise) are in Russia, and there are still quite a bit in China. Why is this? Is it because Russians buy more dash cams, or are they really worse drivers? I'm not trying to offend anyone, just curious. Thanks!

most likely because of the higher density of dashcams in those countries

people fail almost everywhere, but nobody knows unless it's recorded

Dashcams, at least in Russia, are so common because many insurance companies require them.

It and China also are some of the biggest countries there are, with China having the most citizens. From a logical standpoint, it just makes the most sense.

Russia's poor roadway (with often not identifiable markings) and often snowy weather makes for extra poor conditions.

That and in Russia insurance fraud is a HUGE problem. You'll see a lot of videos where someone is crossing the street and will walk up to the car and "jump" on it to make it look like the car hit them.

Yea, I also sometimes watch compilations like that with my friends when we need to kill some time...

Vodka...

Seriously though, I think its because of mentality (not always..), those drivers (and not only) most likely think that they can get away with whatever reckless stuff they do on the road (or somewhere else)... Most likely, they would, if they did not crash into something... They sort of tend to break rules, knowing that they might as well get away with it... I am also not trying to offend anyone, people we see in these videos is probably just 1% of the whole population or maybe even less... I mean, its a huge country...

How do  I signature? >.>

That's a problem in India as well. Except, its something that usually beggars do or force their CHILDREN to do. And No, this is legitimate!
