Looking at buying a 1070

Hello,

I was looking at buying a GTX 1070 at a local retailer, I am not sure what differences the cards have other than price, or what card is even best.

I am currently running a Ryzen 7 1700 (OC 3.9GHz), 32GB of DDR4 3200MHz RAM, and have 3 displays running.

(PRICES ARE IN CAD)

The current local options are;

MSI GTX 1070 ARMOR 8G OC ($570.63)

MSI GTX 1070 GAMING X 8G ARMOR ($599.99)

GIGABYTE GTX 1070 8GB GAMING ($553.91)

ASUS GEFORCE GTX 1070 8GB TURBO ($575.19)

ASUS GTX 1070 8GB ROG STRIX ($619.50)

Some of the prices are all over the price, I'm not sure which one to pick since they're all pretty similar, any assistance would be great!

Buy whatever you think looks the best except the turbo, that card runs hotter than normal.

I'd personally go for the Gigabyte card.

I'd get the cheapest. They're essentially the same when it comes to performance

Unless you need it right now I would wait for Vega.

I would go with the Gigabyte. Decent cooler, and it's the cheapest. A better heatsink doesn't make the same card worth $70 more. There really aren't massive performance differences...it's mostly up to the price.
