Yep, like others stated: use tape.  Or, find the physical link and unhook the camera.

 

On the mention of the windows, there is invention called tinting (of course, dependent on State laws).

That's an incredibly dumb statement. I can do donuts on the highway and endanger others all i want. Because it's mine, and nobody can tell me how to use it.

It's not about being hidden, it's about not wanting to be potentially watched constantly.  It's a large part of the reason I detest and abhor social media.  I don't like the idea of being under constant "surveillance" (such as it were).

People can have a variety of reasons to modify a product they own. 

If people have a concern about the camera, they have ways to nullify said camera.

 

Seriously, I be more concerned with the GPS, WiFi, and Internet connectivity on a vehicle before having concerns about a camera.  If there is no connection out, there is no way the camera can send out.
