What Antiviruses do you guys like?

Guest

Hello!

My favourite antivirus is Avira free! It's really good and has an amazing detection rate!

My favourite second opinion scanner is Hitman Pro!

 How about yours?  :)

The built in Windows 10 security stuff is what I use most of the time. I use BItdefender on my main machine because I get it for free from my Dad's work. Other then that I use Malwarebytes when I am cleaning up my Papa's computer from all the viruses he somehow got -_-

same here.

can't stand all the 3rd party attention whores any more.

always throwing up notification windows but not one of them was actual information about what's going on with my computer ... it was always special offer this, free trial that, "your pc is slow and you need a speedup tool"

Windows defender + adblock + not being retarded. Windows Defender isn't the best, in fact it's the weakest out of the widely used programs iirc. Thing is, I just put it it there recently just in case. I went without antivirus for over 5 years and didn't get a single virus.

xDHe he, that's funny but it really doesn't affect my gaming performance very much because I've set it that it won't do backround scans in that game's folders and I scan the folders manually when not playing.

oh yeah ... we have eset at work ... it's a real gentleman ... always politely asking if it may update itself

... when you are in the middle of writing an important mail to a customer ... stealing focus from your mail application and derailing your thought train.... i like eset

User experience is different from one person to another, I like it because it is a very solid antivirus that never bothers me with pop ups and other annoyances and doesn't flag my cracks as malwares.

Hell yeah it is. Back around the time I first got started programming games in GML on my shitty old Dell inspiron years ago, it deleted any EXE I compiled and even wiped out most of my project files! NEVER USE NORTON, IT IS A FUCKING VIRUS. Plus, it slows down PCs like crazy. Back in 2009/2010 I had a ECS desknote with 512mb of RAM and a Athlon 1.6ghz. Keep in mind, those specs weren't completely useless yet at that point and I could comfortably browse the web and watch Youtube on it. I installed Norton and the damn thing slowed down so much that I could barely get to the programs list to uninstall it. It was like a horror movie, I'm not kidding. Even on more modern PCs it can cause noticeable performance decreases.

That joke is so old...

I think 2010 was the last really bad version or something...

Anyway the new ones are really good (except that it removes every fucking torrent...)
