Should I Upgrade My 770 2GB?

So I have a MSi GTX 770 OC Edition with a light overclock that on average gives me an extra 10fps on games and what not. Anyway, the 770 is beginning to struggle on newer games a fair bit. It isn't the the GPU itself but the 2GB of memory that seems to be the bottleneck.

So I've been looking around and I've found a few 1060s that are in my budget but I cant really warrant the money for a 1060 as its not that special and just so i can turn textures up doesn't seem to be worth it. Any thoughts on where I should go with this?

Wait for Vega. It's coming quite soon.

What is your CPU? If it is good get a used 980Ti or 1070, if not get a 580 or lower

So if Vega release a lower end card to compete with 1060 would they be technically releasing another 480/580 again?

There are supposedly leaks out there that shows how they perform

Use logic man, don't you think it's stupid for AMD to release a similar performing card every few months?? (RX 480 - June/July 2016, RX 580 April 2017, Vega - around July-August)

Unless you can get a more decisive upgrade, such as a xx80 (TI) or the Vega that is coming, I'd hold off a bit longer. A 1060 and RX 580 are faster, but not $200+ faster.

I'd upgrade. That 770 is pretty much identical to the 960 I had 6 months ago.I upgraded to an 8gb RX480, and games literally doubled in FPS on max settings. I'd say it's worth it :]

Ryzen 7 2700x, MSI Gaming X RX 480 8gb, Asus ROG X470 Gaming, 2x8gb Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000, 120gb Kingston SSD (Boot) + 1TB Seagate Barracuda.
