How fast is the LTT member's internet connection?

with Telstra internet. If you go into your modem config on your account on bigpond and change from normal to fast your download speeds will increase. However the line is less stable

I checked and got this:

 

Fast This setting removes interleaving from your ADSL2+ line. This may reduce latency, but also introduces connection stability issues, such as drop outs. Warning : Selection of this option may render your connection unusable.

 

So I activated that and we'll see how she goes in 4 hours :)

Its really sad, but FTTH is 4 blocks away, and im getting 120/10, so its not THAT bad

I pay $150 per month for 20/1 Mbps and unlimited phone calls in Australia. In 2 months or so Ill hopefully be getting 25/5 Mbps on a NBN Fixed Wirless Service but the pings aren't that great on that either :( really want fibre for the under 20 ms mostly under 10 ms pings. :( This is also with no downloading at all happening and at the closest server.

If it goes well ill have a look at doing it, I pay for an ADSL 2+ connection but only get under ADSL speeds cos my streets lines are horribly dodgey. So sick of Telstra though rip of much but sadly only ISP that I can reliably get to work out where I live.
