I love my school. :D

This was over break when nobody was here (that's about as high as down speeds get):

And this is now when everyone's back on campus and it's like 9PM:

Imagine my dismay when I'm home with my parents for break and am stuck with 12 down and 1.5 up...

I get 80 Down and 20up with Optic fibre in Singapore LOL. Your's is like uber balling

Im from Uruguay and theres only one monopolic state-owned ISP, the Internet was the slowest and most expensive ever, until they decided to install fiber with all the money they connected.

Now this is the result I get after paying the same that I payed for 4mb/s download on copper

Im planinng to get the 120mbs download plan for 60 usd

Gotta love ISP's limiting upload speed so heavily, it sucks.

Great to know more about BT ISP's, do they have good fiber coverage?

2474348548.png

I favor most the stable ping and speed for the whole day, was thinking i might be throttled during prime hours like many ISP's, but according to extensive testing the normal protocols and torrents aren't affected.

Got optic fibre but not sure if I got a gigabit router

Think I had something similar when I was on 100Mbits router, I was stuck on 45Mbits mark because of my router and it wasnt a bad router either Cisco RV42. Sometime the overhead and LAN traffic interfering too much with WAN speed. So I agree on getting gigabit router if you don't already have one.

I'm meant to have 500GB of ADSL2+ (The fastest I'm pretty sure, apart from very limited fiber) per month, but I'm with the worst ISP in Australia and they gave us a pissed up modem that we're having difficulty replacing, and we can't get any other one because all of the ports are taken up.

WiFi connection. I could increase it to 40-50mbps by going wired, but my router's too far away to bother. Besides, speeds are good enough for me, plus connection is completely stable.
