talk about torrenting is allowed to the tune of "I'm trying to download the latest Ubuntu ISO and I keep getting tracker errors please help" is allowed.

Talking about torrenting commercial or non free software is not allowed. Asking for help on where to find help for those reasons is also not allowed.

Pirating, that is against the rules. If you are torrenting legally (to download files faster) then you can talk about it.

There are plenty of legit uses of torrents.

 

using them for piracy isn't one of them, and that sort of talk is NOGO here, and honestly should be NOGO everywhere.
