What would be an appropriate PSU for this build?

jado

I've tried looking at the PSU tier list and I can't make much sense of it so im wondering what people think would be an appropriate PSU for this build. This is the end goal for my current build and in the future instead of replacing my GPU I intend on adding another RX 580 so there needs to be wattage for that and overclocking room.

Should be good with a 550W. It's about all you need for a single card setup, thought the 650W will give you more headroom.

I said I intend on adding a second 580 in the future which adds up to 575W

Bad: NEX, B

Good: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/rt8H99/evga-power-supply-210gq0750  750 is currently cheaper than 650 after MIR and the only reason why I linked it instead of the 650. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/kz7CmG/evga-power-supply-210gq0650

Better: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/9q4NnQ/evga-power-supply-220g20650

TLDR nothing lower than tier 3 in the PSU list linked previously in this thread.

There's something cool here - you just can't see it.

Better is a tier 1 PSU, good is a tier 2.

That is a very solid build but you should skip that PSU and get something different. This Seasonic is cheaper and better: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/DPCwrH/seasonic-power-supply-ssr550rm

|PSU Tier List /80 Plus Efficiency| PSU stuff if you need it.
