Instead of finding a "fault" and bashing it like a madman while making you look like a idiot in the process, why not verify their claim by checking out Nvidia's site.

doesn't seem it

unless there is another manufacturer that makes it with 4

if there is, please do show

You are looking at the wrong link, that's for desktop not laptops.

https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/10series/laptops/

So I've been looking at these mid range laptops for gaming. And I found this

http://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/productdetails/inspiron-15-7567-laptop/dncwf513s

But looking at the specs, it has a gtx 1050....with 4gb??

Now of you go one model up:

http://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/productdetails/inspiron-15-7567-laptop/fncwf514s
It has a 1050ti with 4gb. Which is legitimate.

So what's going on with that first model.? False Advertising?

You can get the GTX 1050 with 4GB. It's something Dell have spec'd and not Nvidia themselves. It is unique to the Notebook variant of the card.

It's all not always false adverting if you just do some Googling.

So in a way, dell modified the card?

No they just used the Notebook variant which has the 2GB and 4GB option.

They wouldn't be allowed to mod the card much, if at all.

Huh.

It's just kinda...bad advertising(?)

Because for people who don't know that (I.e past me), they might end up paying more because they think its fake

What is fake? How is bad advertising?

People who are buying these machines, will tend to have more knowledge about tech. If not they'll just look at the physical appearance of the it and price, while ignoring everything else.
