Plugging PC to TV

Hi,

 

So is my friend says that plugging your Pc to a tv damages the pc. Looked up google and no answer that is clear. So i'm asking: Do I damage my pc by plugging it to the tv?

Of course not, thats ridiculous. Its just a display, like any other monitor.

 

Where the hell is your friend getting his information? Someone who tells you something that rediculous and believes that is putting zero effort into confirming things and is not someone to get information from.

It's the same thing as plugging PC to a monitor. TV is just a non gaming monitor with larger size. No, you have bad friends.

I don't think you could scale Windows down to THAT low of a resolution

maybe those fucking heavy cathode ray tube tv's from the 1950's, black & white........... then ask the perverbial question..................... but can it play Crysis in utlra settings.

Its actually something that some people do for competitive FPSs, mainly for decreased latency (analog, so little/no signal processing on each end) and higher refresh rates (at least 72Hz, usually 100+), and their resolution isn't completely terrible (720p ish).

Your friend is a moron. Where the hell do you think TV's got the LCD tech from? It was Laptops. Some TV's even come with VGA.

its awesome to plug your pc into your tv :D its great for movies and such running off the sound of your tv with hdmi cord :P
