you forgot to change gpuz to show the maximum core and memory clock instead of the current clocks.

Sorry about the gpu-z messed up clocks but the card clocks down pretty fast when i alt tab. (1254 is the max)

That's an impressive score, what card have you got?

You should be able to get the core to boost a little higher than that, even at stock volts, unless you got a bum card. And you should try and push the memory a bit higher, +700 is solid stable for the Hynix chips on my card, but I can get them to bench at +750 with a bit of TLC.

I've got trimpots on order for a voltmod, then we'll really see how a 760 can compete with the rest of the cards out there on the board, the voltage cap seems to be a massive limiter here which is a shame it's so restricted.

LTT's fastest Valley 970, slowest Valley Basic and Extreme HD scores

Its a 760 dcuii, my card also uses hynix chips but mine don't seem to like more than 605+ bump (your card is really good). Also for some reason pumping voltage onto the card it gets more unstable i dunno why

bad. need more overclocking on the gpu's. tips are in the OP come back with around 4000 and i'll be pleased :D

tbh its not too bad for the speeds you are at. some 7970's are 1150/1500 stock so i would aim for that at least for an overclock. also keep tabs on your gpu usage, in theory you should be getting over 90% usage on both gpu's, but some set ups get 60% usage per card which isn't good.

He is on a G3258 so that might be holding him back with Crossfire scaling.

true. thats why i told him to watch the usage. valley should only use 1/2 cores though and with it being clocked at 4.6ghz i wouldn't think it would hold him back in this, although it will in most games. we will see anyway.

Especially on certain H97 boards. Some say they are good for overclocking that chip on, but are really terrible at it and have them barely able to run at their boost clock.

Oh, you might fry your board doing it. :P

Lol, imagine if the G3258 was super taxing on any motherboard.

Also, getting ready to do benching with my ghetto cooled 650ti since the stock fan had it hitting 85C @1175MHz on the core, now only hitting 65C. :) May or may not be doing it on the shittastic Dell with the psu that is a sin. (PSU is in my signature, I actually have two, and I'm selling one and my 7770 to a friend. :P)
