Too few people have dived into the topic well enough to know that multiple cores doesn't automagically mean better performance.

well I think they are taking it from a stand point where single core performance is the same or about the same, then multiple cores will be better, IF the given software can take advantage of the extra cores.

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

That sounds like something marketing and logistics would handle, not engineers.

 

Unless you mean something EE related... in which case why are you using Excel?

Eh, this is more of trend analysis that needs to be output in a digestible format, so excel isn't too terrible... But you're right. They are reluctant to move away from what they know :/
