As you should be.

For most PC users a iGPU is a great option. But for those of us that want to work at top speed, you need a dGPU.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

I'll think about it, but her budget is a little bigger than a gt 730.

but that is way overkill for day to day use or even light gamming. the onboard graphics of skylake put low end GPUs to shame.

The 750Ti is part of NVidia's GTX lineup, which mainly exists for gaming.
It wouldn't make sense for such a PC.

I'm sure the integrated gpu of an Intel Core i3-4xxx/6xxx would get the job done, but I don't know how you can connect two displays to it.

That's why she needs a dedicated gpu.

Have you watch YouTube videos using both? Or a duel monitor setup? Or used editing software? Or had to have multiple applications going?

Guess what I'm saying is if you want to challenge my experiences, please provide yours.

I don't want to challenge your experiences.
I'll simply wait what everyone else has to say and waste my time on something else.

Christ on a crutch mate.

You mother doesn't need a skylake CPU.

Simply get her the i5 4660.

some cheap 8GB of ram Kingston usually has the cheapest

then grab a 300 Watt power supply

then grab a GT 730

NEVER GIVE UP. NEVER STOP LEARNING. DONT LET THE PAST HURT YOU. YOU CAN DOOOOO IT

AMD has some great graphics cards, but if she's not going to be gaming my recommendation is to stick with Nvidia for the stability Nvidia offers over AMD.

That said though, AMD is better at multi monitor support. But worse in handling YouTube. So it's a decision best left to her priorities. The only issue I have with mine and multi monitor is the curser likes to get hung up on the transition. Minor, but an issue none the less.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

They'll just run games, or benchmarks. Both are a poor indicator to desktop performance, especially things like watching videos.

Got it, that's along the most popular. I guess everybody on these forums is partial to nvidia.

The 750ti is just a great option if you're not going to be gaming. That's all, no loyalty. Same GPU is used on the 960m in laptops.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

Gaming performance has nothing to do with the ability to drive 2 monitors. A low end gpu will not be able to handle 2 monitors running at 1080P.  At 1024x768 yes.
