Doom is by id Software.

id Software is owned by ZeniMax Media.

ZeniMax Media also owns Bethesda Softworks.

Bethesda Softworks is Publishing Doom, developed by id Software.

Hope that clears it up a bit for you.

And john carmack is working on it also. This could be a really good game since i like both of those developer/publushers.

He made the engine and SnapMap and then left id Software. He's not involved in the making of DOOM in any way.

Those that I experienced are the ones most people had, textures load, you look the other way and back again and they need sometimes few seconds to load again, now imagine that through the whole game, combined with a ridiculous amount of screen tearign that v-sync can't do anything about.  Those were the most annoying ones.

Apparently it uses the same engine as Rage did, and those are the only two games to do so, and imagine this, they both have the same problems. Haven't played Rage but many, and I do mean many people have complained about that.

Evil Within used it as well, it was better optimized and didn't stutter and vsync worked.

Seems you're right, didn't know that.

I can see here it also had some problems, like no vsync if you unlock the framerate that is locked at 30, but seems it was better optimized.

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.

I never really played Doom all that much, it didn't interest me, but this game does look really nice. Will probably give me motion sickness 99.00% of the time, but whatever! You get to bash monsters' heads in! B|

it will have a load of John Carmack code as he worked on the core tech.

but a lot of the game itself was made after he left. It's been more than 2 years.

The thing is Carmack didn't even finish the idTech 6 engine before leaving. There's that also.
