Google accidentally launches Climate Change

jos

and you think scientists havent considered what you are bringing up. and it doesnt matter how well california manage their water if sea water contaminates it then a large supply of their water is gone. and you are saying you are right and scientists who spend their lives studying this is wrong. thats like me saying that tectonic plate movement isnt real and everything is where it is because of a single giant earthquake. who is more likely to be correct me or the scientists? i read the description of the video and i dont see anything that says they are saying climate change isnt real. they just say we are accelerating it further by destroying plants which supports that co2 affects the environment. also we have a full model of what a planet with a high co2 density will be like and its called venus

WATCH THE VIDEO!

California's water issues have very little to do with ocean ingress, far more to do with aquifer over-use, poor planning and aqueducting, and bad policies implemented that artificially warped the water market. Their options will be to change how they utilize and presume water, or start desalinating for their potable water needs.

You massively misunderstand it, because you refuse to watch it, and do yourself no favors by claiming to make judgments based on its description. It's very well possible that all our indications of climate change are the result of the desertification he is talking about. Which are not being caused by CO2 or fossil fuels. CO2 as the trigger for climate change would have more indicators than we have, atmospheric temperature changes, radiative budget changes, etc. These haven't happened, but we have had a massive increase in daytime surface temperatures where desertification has occurred, and NIGHT TIME temperature increases everywhere, likely due to our expanding foot print. CO2 follows temperature change, historically, which is antithetical to the models and theories. There are more mechanisms than we realize or know of. And this is one of many that are coming to light.

And your second point illustrates mine, tectonic theory is a very recent discovery comparatively. CO2 as a greenhouse gas and climate change inducer is HUNDREDS of years older than plate tectonic theory. You need to WATCH THE VIDEOS and read the papers.

Your constant logical fallacy in an appeal to authority does no one any positive service, either endeavor to learn more or stop debating. YOU are choosing to appeal to one voice of authority over the other, and then making defenses of ignorance and apathy to attempt to bolster your argument and keep yourself from having to ingest new information or think critically.

Practice some science, stop being cultish, and partake of the oceans of information awaiting you.

sure there are some like that but if you want to get money you dont become a scientist. if most scientists are corporate shills then nothing would have been done against tobacco companies and they will be saying climate change isnt real because oil companies will be paying them off and yes you need to be pretty smart to earn a masters or Ph.D

Watch the Kary Mullis video, he goes over that, NOW you don't enter the sciences for money, you enter law or business, but decades ago science was one of the go to money avenues.

During the night if there's no wind, btw wind is one of the least efficient power sources, the space requirements are immense while the power output is miniscule, the point is that power storage options are horribly inefficient so using variable power sources as the backbone of the grid is pointless until power storage is efficient.

There are ways of making wind more effective, efficient, and pervasive. There are flying wing turbines, tethered and lifted into the jet stream, and there are kite generators that use the jet stream or higher altitude winds to exert tensile pressure on the tether turning a generator at the tether point. These techs have the capability of producing megawatts of power with a smaller foot print and more reliable generation. There are some TED talks on both  techs if memory serves.
