AT&T wants to know why a town is building a 1Gbps network when it already offers 6Mbps DSL

Victorious Secret

I don't like AT&T any less than the rest of you, but it would do well if people read the Ars article over the click bait sensational headlines of the other media outlets.

In response to questions from Ars, AT&T said it doesn’t intend to delay the proceeding and described intervention as a routine procedural matter used when an interested party believes it will be affected by a case and wants the opportunity to receive information and keep up with its developments.

In layman's terms, they want to be kept in the loop because this will affect business, they can't actually do anything by asking to intervene.

That sucks. Is NBN coming to you?

Not for a good while, unfortunately.

It gets the job done though, I'd like for things to be faster but I'd sooner give that for a more secure and stable connection and unlimited.

AT&T, I can say this from the deepest part of my being: Shut the fuck up, fix your shit, and fuck off. My grandma is paying $70 for 1.5/.5, and she gets this with 4 users. This is fucking bullshit. Not to mention her data cap is barely enough for a cellphone.

And my dad is paying $100 a month for this, with a 200GB data cap. Did I mention my sister was online, as well as my dad? And I get less than optimal reception with my wireless receiver.
