I don't have a budget because I will upgrade to one, then move to the next one,

Nvidia highest end cards are better than AMD's but also more expensive, it all comes down to your budget in the end and what you are ready to pay for those few extra frames per second

Why would you do that? There's literally no point. The next generation of graphics cards will be out by the time you upgrade? :/

I would spend more if nvidia is better on those listings.

*Depending on the resolution.

At 4K and 1600p, it's AMD all the way. At 1080p, Nvidia takes the crown.

By that time there will be newer graphics cards that are cheaper and perform better.

If you are going to buy one now, then give us a price and we can recommend one to you.

Otherwise just wait until you are ready and have enough money to buy a new video card.

Under $250. That's the budget for the next graphics card I am getting. I have a 1080p screen. I think I will stick with that for a while.

What? No a new generation? The 800 series, Maxwell? Just like Kepler was originally released in the 600 series after Fermi, the 500 series.

The GTX 850(Ti), 860, 870 and 880 will all be released by the time you come round to upgrading. GPU's aren't a stagnant technology.

NEVER, I repeat, NEVER buy a card based on the brand. Go look at benchmarks and see which card is the fastest for the price you can pay.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Oh I didn't know there going to release 800 series. Sorry about that.

I should've posted this until I said the budget :P I wish I could delete this post and post another about the budget.

If you decide to go with AMD, keep in mind they produce more heat.  I usually end up going with AMD due to them being extremely easy to overclock, and their sheer compute power.

I'll stick with nvidia until amd releases their adaptive sync. Gsync is a huge selling point for me at the moment. A gtx 760 will fit nicely in your budget but no gsync monitor then just pick your poison
