Favorite Cherry MX Switch

This is MY OWN opinion: I have tested all mx switch types, and out of all I must say reds were the worst experience. Blacks felt abit better. Browns were quite nice, but blues were just the best. I use blues for gaming and typing and they are just awesome. I dont even know why reds are marketed as gaming switches. Yes they can be spammed easily, but blues just as well. But the clicky, tactile feedback cannot be beaten in my opinion.

Edit: of course i meant i have tested the 4 major mx switches.

Blues are ok, clears are great, buckling springs are better than everything.

Greens like the heaviness of blacks like the clicky of blues don't like reds closest membrane feeling mechanical switch just feels mushy when pressing maybe i just mash my keyboard too much.

Browns are the same as blues just not clicky, they feel the same to me as blues and a bit lighter than springs. I like browns as I can spam them and I don't just press them really randomly like I was seeing my self do with reds.

Logitech has always been that company to me that i'll only buy if I had a ton of money to spend on a keyboard.

For me, still probably browns. I like the feedback and lightness of them. Altrough I tried blues again at the store a few days back and they were quite nice...

Now I'm tempted to buy another Ducky Shine with blues, too, but can't really see myself spending that much again now that I don't even use the computer that intensively.

Why not get a cheaper keyboard than a ducky? Maybe a CMStorm.

I guess that's also an option, but I just like the durability and professional look of the Ducky ones.

Currently my favourite switches are Cherry MX Browns, but as soon as some more Code Mechanical Keyboards come into WASDKeyboards that may soon change to Cherry MX Clears.

So I'm shopping for a mechanical keyboard and I can't decided which switches to get. I understand that they all have different actuations and resistance but I'm still not sure which ones to get. But what are your favorite kind of MX switches?

They exist they are the least common type of MX switches. If you don't believe me look it up.

Aren't clears and whites the same thing. I thought you had blue, brown and red with green, clear/white and black being their heavier counterparts.

Browns, hands down my favorite one, both my K70 and my CM Quickfire are amazing.

+1

I've used Blues and Reds for over 6 months each and I'm on Browns now (2 months into it), and I love them by far. I miss the Blue click, but it's close enough.
