Favorite Cherry MX Switch

my sp120's are quiet editions my af140s you don't get a choice. And good is a matter of opinion performance fans are a little louder and don't come with the volt reducer. Depends if you are after a higher performing fan or a quieter fan.

well for fans there really isnt opinion.... theres 3 things to look at 1. cheap looking or quality looking. 2 quiet or loud. 3. perform good(af and sp) or rubbish

corsair sp120 quiet and af140

1. look good

2. quiet

3. no air flow, no static pressure

I don't follow the sp fans do provide static pressure. I have a h100i which I have my sp120's on. Only reason I went with the corsair fans because they were cheaper then what I wanted to go with originally the noctua nf-12's which are 20-30 bucks a pop.

sp120 quiet editions? i have them, they produce little to no pressure by feel(hand over fan), and on spec they produce 1.29 mm/h20 which means it probably produces less then that on a radiator. thats very little pressure.

Well I still do alright with them I'd imagine. I know I wont be setting the world on fire with overclocks but I still like them. Otherwise the OCD in me would need me to get all noctua fans for them to at least match throughout the case.

honestly, you shouldnt even have bought the sp120s, you should have stayed with the stock h100i fans, both of them perform pretty much the same. saved  up for better fans noctuas or w/e

The SP120L's which are the oem for the h100i from youtube videos I was watching were a bit to loud for my liking. And the noctua solution just would of been to pricey in my r4. I'd have 2 on my h100i thats 60 dollars there and then 2 front 140's 60 there and 1 rear exchaust 30 there pretty pricey if you ask me for premium fans.

noctua fans are 20 a piece   and 22 for 140mm

so 40+44+20

Apparently money is not a factor for you ha! spending over 100 dollars on fans isnt feasible for me. But to each his own.

haha that would be awesome :) I wonder if they'll come out with more cherry mx switches. I think a good color to go with next would be purple.

What is 'right' for you may not be for others, calarahil's opinion's just as valid as yours.

As for favorite switch, I like Red/Black/Blue/Brown/Green equally, though I'm leaning a little towards Blue. But, the best Cherry and non-Cherry switch I've tried is Topre......it's like a silent and smooth buckling spring mechanical KB.

Yup I'd have it as a white color board like the ducky shine 2 and purple led with purple swtiches

Topre's releasing its more mainstream offerings, the Type Heaven. It uses the same switch as the Realforce series, but with lower quality material.....like ABS plastic. Just got my blue 104 Topre dye-sublimated PBT key caps, swapped out all but the spacebar as mine's the 103 key model, the spacebar is a rad too short for mine.......just behind the Topre is my CM QF TK Blue.

I happen to have a CM Trigger Green and yes, Greens are essentially a heavier Blue......and just as clicky.
