Best Phone for Cinematography?

Ali_H.

So I'm looking for a new smartphone and I want to take a lot of video on it. I'm looking for a few things which is hard to find. Manuel Focus, HDR video, and OIS. Shooting at 24 fps or 60 fps would be a nice to have. I also don't want to spend a lot on it. any Suggestions?

The best phone for video would be the latest iphone pro model.

And no it's not cheap.

iPhone SE, or one of the new iPhones coming up if you can afford more (for the extra sensors, of course).

Like it or not, Apple has a knack for video and a wide ecosystem of video apps that include more controls than the stock camera app. About the only issue (apart from the one sensor) is that the iPhone SE's battery isn't very large, so you'd probably want an external battery pack if you're going to be recording for extended periods.

Budget? Best one is the 11 Pro though it’s £1000. Would look at the iPhone XS used if you have about £600 or the pixel 4a/ iPhone SE if you’re more at 400.
