AM4 Motherboard For Ryzen APUs with Wi-Fi.

My friend's build is finally coming together and the only thing we're missing is a motherboard. We need a motherboard that apparently has 2 display outputs in the form of DVI and HDMI/Displayport, and supports Wi-Fi. We're also looking for something that should be able to support next gen Ryzen 5 4600G in case she upgrades and needs the additional processing power. Friend is hoping to spend $150 CAD. Any recommendations? Only motherboard I've found is the ASROCK B550(M) Pro 4 but it doesn't have Wi-Fi.

B550M Pro-VDH WIFI?

ASUS has a cheap B550 board with onboard WIFI, though I can't remember the exact name of it. The VRMs on it were pretty crappy though so CPU upgradability won't be a strong suit of it.

It's better to get a non-wifi board and add a wifi card in it. That way if you upgrade you'll still get wifi.

what cpu do you already have? 

because b550 does not support current gen apu's. unless you're planning on getting a zen 2 apu. 

if you don't already have an apu and you're planning on buying a zen 2 apu later on, a b550 vdh wifi will be more than enough.

also don't limit yourself to a board that has wifi. 

consider a board without wifi and then add a wifi card.

Something like this has both WiFi and Bluetooth and fits on your pciex1 slot on the board

board's with wifi: b450 aorus pro wifi, ds3h wifi and the pro carbon wifi are some that will work. though i'm not sure if the ds3h and the aorus pro will support zen 2 apu's (they have a different agesa code from zen 2 cpu's.).

as for b450 in general: b450 pro 4, tomahawk max, mortar max, pro vdh max, a pro max (non m) will work great. 

honestly i recommend  going with a board without wifi, and adding a wifi card. because the ds3h and the aorus pro aren't the best and while yes, the pro carbon is really good, it's usually overpriced for what it is and costs the same as a b550 a pro and that's a lot better.

I noticed a good PCI-E Wi-Fi cards is really expensive compared to the built in motherboard ones. Intel has some M.2 variants but then the B450 motherboards have just one M.2 slot. This simple build is honestly getting so difficult with all the requirements my friend needs...

You don't really need anything special. 

Any decent pcie wifi card will do. 

But if you're set on a wifi board. The ones I listed are decent though I personally would consider a board with no wifi and then get a pcie wifi card.

Between the MSI B450-A Pro MAX and ASRock B450 PRO4, which should we go for? I presume MSI B450 A-Pro MAX as it has confirmed support for Zen 2 APUs?
