How to adjust brightness in Windows

I'm looking for a way to change brightness to my 2 displays on a DESKTOP not a laptop. I had rainmeter installed and it had a brightness slider and it worked but it was kinda trash. Is there a program or way to do this in windows?

Use the brightness controls on your monitors. As far as I know, this is only a thing for mobile devices and maybe all in ones. Your computer cannot directly control the brightness settings on your (external) monitor.

Looks like Settings -> System -> Display.

In there is a brightness slider.

 

Also from the notification box on the desktop. There can be one configured in there for faster access.

That's for laptops yes, but nothing can be done on a desktop.

I am working on a program that does this. As well as changing monitor(s) inputs from your keyboard. I am also looking into turning on/off select monitors based on profile config (example: Console profile turn off monitor 2, turn it back on when switching to PC).

You're still not going to be able to change backlight level on a desktop monitor though.

Yes, I also found this in my research when I was looking for the same thing. There is no option for desktop, but you can adjust in the laptops easily.

Omg, again? Guys, please! ScreenBright can do that. And probably few more programs that uses DDC/CI protocol. Without any problem! Even using analog d-sub! It control monitor settings and change them! SoftMCCS can do even more and change all your monitor settings (but I don't recommend it to someone who has no experience). So download ScreenBright and that's it!
