Ryzen 5 3600 minimum RAM support?

Hej!

I need to know the minimum RAM size for the R5 3600 if there is a limit.

The only information I can find are about how much ram it supports at maximum, but nothing about the minimum it needs to run.

Thanks in advance!

Regards,

baeni

4GB are generally the lowest capacity DIMMs you'll find, which thus is the minimum you RAM supported. But if you can find 2GB DIMMs or smaller they'll likely work too.

But that doesn't mean you should get 4GB or whatever, you need to get however is needed for your work on the computer. Generally 8GB or more is preferred.

You can't get DDR4 less than 4GB, unless you find some special stuff shipped from China. So there's the minimum.

Windows is what really has a minimum, not hardware, you can't run your OS with too little ram.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Oh sorry. Ram size. Thought you meant speed. As Minibois said it is 4gb and maybe even 2gb.

@minibois @Tigerleon @BlueScope819 @Fasauceome Perfect, thanks y'all!

@BlueScope819 yeah I will buy a 2x8GB 3200mh/z kit in the future but I just need some temporary RAM for now. I will return it anyway so it doesn't need to be a good deal. I went with a single 8GB 2666 mh/z kit for 30€ now. As I said - Just for test purposes and not for actual usage.
