So what GPU should I get?

StareX

So I am running 1440x900, and not planning to upgrade any time soon.. but I have a:

i5 3570k

GTX 560 Ti

16GB RAM 1600MHz

Okay? Now you see? my GTX 560 Ti s**ks OK?

Now I got a question, for 1440x900 or 1280x720 (lol I like that resolution ok?! :D)

I am playing BF4, Titanfall(soon), GTA SA(so old) and... uhhh, small games, not demanding and bad coded like Crysis 3... on Medium and High settings.. Not too much Anti Aliasing on BF4 cuz it doesn't look that.. great? .. :|

What should I buy?! a GTX 780 Ti? Cuz of the CUDA Cores? Or a regular 780? And overclock it.. I also want to mine, etc.. (no AMD, I want to use Shadowplay)..

Or??... I really like NVIDIA, and trust them, I go Green, not red.. so if you recommend me AMD, No.. don't.

So? GTX 780? 770? or 760? for 1440x900 and maybe soon 1080p?

Please help me decide :)

What is your budget? And you probably wont get much mining done on an nvidia card.

None. R9-270. I have the 7870 (the 270 is a rebadge) and it maxes everything at 1440x900 maintaining above 30 at all times.

Don't mine with an nVidia card. Not worth it.

Your best bet is the 780. It's not that much more than a 770 for a lot of extra performance. It's heaps less than a 780 Ti with not much less performance.

On top of that for 1080p, 780 Ti is just for the e-peen. You'll be able to play everything maxed out with a 780. I have an R9 290X and max out everything at 1080p easily without going under 60fps.

780 for your resolution would be total overkill.

If I were you I would get a 1080p monitor first, followed up by the 770/780.

However if you really want to stick with your resolution a 760/770 will be fine.

I think that 1080p would be the greatest improvement alongside with 780. But if you like your current resolution then go for the best you can afford. Also regarding mining; Nvidia is still behind on that, apparently there are some CUDA miners now but not as effective as AMD and Nvidia won't do anything about it they don't care about mining.

Is your monitor's max res 900p or is it that you need to game there to have no lag?

If you're monitor only supports up to 1440x900, then anything above a GTX 650 Ti Boost would be a waste in my opinion.

If you are planning to upgrade to 1080p, I would say a 770 will be fine.

GTX 560 Ti is stronger than a 650 Ti Boost... and I got the budget .. well, uhh soon.. lol.. but Budget isn't the case here, ok? I am running 1440x900, 19inch PC Screen, that's the limit...

And I really want high frames, I srsly do.. I wanna play BF4 on Ultra, and enjoy NVIDIA.. ok? I love their features and overclock abilities, etc..

@Mecami - But hey! I will get more frames with 780.. and tbh, will not need to replace it yeah? lol.

If shadowplay is a problem, you can always use Dxtory which is much better for audio recording.

even a gtx 760 is total huge big overkill stick to your 560 Ti till you get another monitor. if you get a new card the gpu usage will be 60-80%

OC the cpu till then couse at low res its a cpu game

Does your monitor even refresh higher than 60hz? If no, then you can't see the difference.

What you should be looking at is minimum frame rates, not maximum. They're what you'll actually be able to see.

Budget is always the case, how else are we supposed to help you?

If budget isn't the case get 780Ti's in TriSli. That'll give you great performance at 900p.

There's no point in mining with an Nvidia card. You'll probably use more power than you get out of it.

Get a new display and a 780 or 770. There's no point getting a powerful graphics card if your display is crap. You don't spend all day staring at your graphics card when you game.

which exact monitor (model) do you have and exactly how much $ do you want to spend? With more details such as those we can give you a better answer.

Its difficult to understand what you exactly want because at first you say no monitor upgrade but then the last line of you post says with possible future 1080p.

As of now i would say just get a 660 so that ultra can be played without said stuttering. With more details the suggestion would change.

I got a 75Hz Monitor, 60-75Hz, Acer X193W .. Really OLD monitor...

When I lock or even run 60fps capped, I .. don't see smooth.. but with 75fps, I do... So obviously, I want more frames... and my budget is .. Well, cuz of Israel taxes.. 712.17 USD.. (LOL I know, don't blame me OK?! :D)

Sooo.. uhhh, a GTX 780 Gigabyte Windforce edition costs me 652.311 USD.. Ok?

GTX 780 Ti 891 USD.. (F** I know.. right? O_O)

770 is 470 USD.... ok?

Now I can save up to the 780, no doubt.. but the 770 looks conviencing, My cousin owns a 770, and it's good... ok.. but, I dunno.. when I tried to launch an app and a game on his PC, the game itself was really laggy, I mean.. even above 60fps, it didn't looks as smooth.. Dunno, why is that and uhhh, I dont want it to happen to me :P

P.S. Yeah, I can run an app (aka another game like he did and a game) with my current rig.. now 770 or 780 is powerful than my 560 Ti, so I should see 70 percent boost.. yeah?

Get a new monitor you have no idea the difference it will make its one of the best upgrades you can do and its very noticeable I made the switch to a cheap 1080 ips display and my old tn display looks hideous next to it. You can get a 21 inch 1080p panel for around 120 to 130 here in the states no idea what it is israel. A 780 or 780ti for 1440 by 900 is to be blunt just stupid. Also your monitor is going to be running at 60hz at the native res you will only see 75hz at lower then native res idk what resolution that would be you would have to look it up. If you really want a higher frame rate get a 120hz or 144hz monitor. I can't recommend more then a 760 for your current monitor there is no point spending money in the name of "future proofing" a gpu. If you won't get a better monitor you are better off sticking the excess in the bank and buying a new card in a year or two when the 760 is no longer fast enough.

no.not at that res man. do you understand that its more of a cpu game at low res? the cpu won`t let you see a big difference. the gtx 770 won`t be using the gpu at 99% . at 1080p yes. OK?

If you want to see "more" of everything then you should invest in 1080p+ size screens and power accordingly.  A 20", 22" or 24" 1080p or one of the cheaper 27" 1440p will do the trick.  If budget is an issue check some of the Korean screens - it's a very big risk but it can pay off.  It depends on budget and luck of the draw.

You could run quad Titan's on a 900p display and not see much more due to the lack of pixel density and scale of the old screen.
