Intel introduces new Graphic Control Panel - Windows 10 Store only

GoodBytes

I think we need to look at this in two parts:

1, how nice does it look

2, how well does it perform?

I haven't tried the Intel one yet, but I'd agree that that AMD interface looks better than the base nvidia one (not GFE). In terms of usability, both suck in different ways. The AMD one is too loose for my liking, for example, on the overclocking page you can't see all the stuff at once when maximised on 1080p display. Also both companies have various UI lag when trying to change settings. It should just be instant. On AMD's side I think this is in large part on putting too much effort on the eye candy. In a similar way, I turn off many Windows animation effects because while they look nice, they don't add value and only cost you time. When nvidia's is slow, without that eye candy, who knows. Still not as bad as Steam client...

On the positive side, I rarely use the settings interfaces on GPU. On AMD side, most of the time it is crossfire/overclocking related, both of which are still frustratingly broken (crossfire profiles don't work after reboot unless manually recreated, OC settings don't always stick after you hit apply, OC profiles don't reload correctly). On nvidia, think the last thing I did was the AdaptiveSync option, and before that, manual monitor overclocking. So they're not things I need to do regularly once you find the setting you need. I use GFE more than the driver itself.

Even if they added it, I'd continue using MSi Afterburner any ways...

Beside exclusive features on select manufacture cards, you do know that the MSI Afterburner, EVGA Precision, and so on, is just a skin on top of Nvidia API's?

You can make your own if you are a registered developer - https://developer.nvidia.com/nvapi

*frame theme changes to Modern without other UI position adjustments*

Please god, let this happen.

Come Bloody Angel

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Everybody turns to dust.

Everybody turns to dust.

The blood is on your hands.

The blood is on your hands!

Pyo.

I like the new UI, so clean and slick. But Intel iGP's sucks a lot of steaming piles for modern games.

This isn't meant for the current generation of graphics. It's for the upcoming gen 11 graphic as well as the discrete graphics. Both being a lot better than what we have now.

Ok I see. I hope the Intel discrete GPU's can actually competite nVidia gaming GPU's but I doubt it tbh. Intel's history of GPU's are not that really good.
