What are those red circles...?

I don't like it in my opinion. Never liked plain side panels or simplistic looks. I love alienware's customizable lighting though :D

i went with 3 x 780's to push a resolution of about 12,000 x 2,000 :)

a 480GB SSD in RAID 1 with an identical drive.

2 x VelociRaptors in RAID 1 for a total of 2TB

64GB of 2133Mhz RAM so i can have a 40GB RAMDisk (and well, because i can)

EVGA 1500W SuperNova because I need UBER power.

i have Watercooling at $1200 and that might or might now include cooling the GPU's. they look so perfect as they are already...

Win7 Ultimate because i need RAM recognition

Your turn :D

We dont want to have some jumbled mess of random chaos that states "an SSD"

so

PLEASE try and keep your post organized by using PCPartpicker's BBCode Markup.

I think i've done most of the parts including custom loops

and the keyboard + mouse is basically what I have atm, except I use K70

Reason: I do a good amount of video editing and i want to see 3x1080p on ultra settings, can't blame me :3 + I switch mouses when my hand's tired I go with mionix

Check out the build: Used to be Obot, now Lilith

I am sorry dude, but that build is terrible.

  1. Why Kingson SSDs? If you want the best if the best then the 512GB Samsung 840 PRO is better. If you want something even more extreme then the 1TB 840 EVO is insane as well.

  2. Why mechanical HDDs? If it was my dream PC then I would have a 24bay NAS with 3TB drives in it and completely ignore mechanical storage in my main PC.

  3. Asus Xonar Phoebus? Why? Just why? It's not bad, but for an ultimate build you should get something much better.

  4. A Corsair 900D? Again, why? You could easily fit all this hardware in a much smaller and better case.

  5. 24 Corsair SP fans? First of all, those fans aren't even that great. Second of all, 24 fans will be loud as hell, even if you run them at very very low RPM.

  6. Why the EVGA SuperNOVA card? Your build would most likely run just fine on a 1000W PSU so something like the 1000W 80+ Platinum from Seasonic would be better.

  7. I would not want to use those monitors at this point in time. They are too big and the technology is pretty unreliable and unpolished. You would have far less headaches by going with more common 2560x1440 monitors.

  8. You got to be kidding when you say "dream build" and then get that headset. Now granted I have not tried that particular one yet, but I am willing to bet 1 Internet that it is absolutely terrible. For a dream build you should get something like the AKG K712 for gaming and maybe the Sennheiser HD 800. By the way, the A50 does not have an analog connector, so your soundcard would be absolutely useless with those headphones.

I am sorry, but this build looks like "I'll add the most expensive parts I can find, that's my dream build!". Same thing with people saying "I want a 10 SSD RAID!" and then think it will be a good idea to use the onboard RAID controller, since they don't include a RAID card in the build.

1. i personally have had a great experience with Kingston SSD's and i would gladly buy them again

2. I have more trust in a high RPM HDD than a Hybrid drive.

3. It's a great card and aesthetically i think it looks beautiful :P

4. 900D? for the size i would love to mod it to Hell and load it with an insane amount of rads. :) plus i love the brushed aluminum

5. hopefully that would be just the right amount for all the rads i would have. yes it would be EXTREMELY loud. that's why i would have them set up to run passively and only spin IF i needed extra cooling. they are pretty darn good for SP

6. If i ever had the desire to squeeze even more HDD's i would like the buffer. 3 GPU's OCed plus an OCed CPU would be around 1200w (by my estimate) including OCs

7. I dont mind the size. Plus it would look pretty sweet on some racing games. very virtual very real.

8. i love the looks of the A50's. They are a great headset not a great pair of headphones. if i wanted headphones i wouldve included them.

this would be pricey but there is a method to my madness

Well it's your dreambuild, but a lot of the parts still makes no sense. Unpractical, not as high performance as you could get and so on.

I am not trying to single you out by the way, I think most of the builds in this thread are absolutely horrible. You don't build a "dream PC" by just picking the most expensive parts from each category.
