Easy. Buy it, block their crypto mining application from connecting to the internet and/or run folding so the computer will never be idle.

I mean, you said "When it's idle". Simply make the computer never idle but also running a very easy application and/or only let the gpu get so hot (a really low number). It's not my fault their stipulations have such an easy loophole. ;)

I actually own the AmazonBasics Xbox One Wired Controller, its actually not too bad (Long timer console gamer here and still getting used to mouse and keyboard)

Eh, amazonbasics is something I can get behind. I always order their stuff when quality doesn't matter (HDMI cables, aux cables, etc) (Assuming the HDMI cable is the latest standard.... which it is.)

 

That said, I thought this video was going to be cool, in reality it was boring as hell. Basically summed up as "We use kinda shitty but ok parts to put a mediocre computer setup together."

I mean... amazon pays them anyway through the affiliate program. It's in their own best interest to advertise for them.

I dunno, I kinda like the amazon basics thing. It's a basic, no frills product that works and is always super cheap. No more getting scammed into buying an "'expensive" HDMI cable. Sure, this is probably killing smaller shops because amazon likely buys in the largest volume available and that's how they can do this... but still.

 

I own quite a few amazonbasics products.
