I tried but it's not budging. I dont know why. Do I have to pull from all four corners at the same time?

I'd grab from the bottom and pull from there. Once you get the bottom two off, the top two should come off easier since you have better leverage

How the hell does he do that? I'm pulling as hard as I can but it's not coming off. Am I just too weak?

  • 4 months later...

I came across this thread, as I wanted to remove the front panel to my 275R.. the video is a help. It confirmed it could be done at least.

But the amount of force you need to pull it with is ridiculous. If I pulled much harder I'd have pulled myself towards the case instead of the other way around :P

I started with the bottom - had to give it a good yank, had to simply not be afraid to break it. Then I got one of the top clips (left hand side) without issue.. but the final clip was almost as bad as the bottom. Straightened the cover up, put my left forearm on the top of the case to hold it down, levered my fingers in and just went for it.. voila!

I was getting a resonant hum through the front panel so at this point I didn't really care if I broke it (been one of those days) but all good now! Might just leave it off for now.. I was gonna try putting some rubber grommets or something on but there doesn't seem to really be anywhere to do that.

Edit - I DID have my PC powered off while doing this. I tried with it on at first, but when I knew I'd have to get medieval on it, I didn't need any HDDs or fans spinning all the while..
