Sorry AMD Free Sync, Adaptive Sync, whatever else you want to call it. The shit NVidia charges up the ass for while AMD makes it cheap.

zMeul got a reaction from Daniel Z. in Please i want as many responses possible
you buying the boxed version of that Ryzen, yes? ditch the Hyper 212 Intel 600p SSD - utter trash; get a 850 EVO/PRO you do not need a 750W PSU - something cheaper in the 550W range would do just fine LED crap -
zMeul reacted to Eliteafk_William in Building a server to replace windows server 2003
What server should I build to replace windows server 2003? I want a tower case server and I intend to install windows server 2016 on it and use it for Windows AD, files sharing and printer sharing. The windows server 2003 is currently serving ten Windows 10 workstations. Any recommendations? Many Thanks! Also if possible I want A Xeon in it and hot-swap Hard drive capabilities, thanks!

zMeul reacted to unknownmiscreant in 7700K still worth it?
Ryzen's getting pretty big, so I would suspect that games will start to be optimized for it pretty soon.

zMeul got a reaction from Jinchu in Ryzen segmentation faults when compiling heavy GCC Linux loads
correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the Linux Kernel compiled under GCC? that's pretty fucking big
-
zMeul got a reaction from matrix07012 in Ryzen segmentation faults when compiling heavy GCC Linux loads
I do not know for sure, I don't wake up in the morning with the smell of fresh baked Linux Kernel
in case of Ryzen it might smell like smoldering bakelite

Anyone know where to find the serial number on a dark rock 3, apart from the box. Need to order a AM4 kit.

zMeul reacted to JamieOlive in LTT's exclusive RX Vega teaser makes tech press unhappy
They are so not trash... Just try to compare the amount of information they give you... The amount of time they put on the reviews.... Now whether they use comedic effect or not is up to you to watch, but find me one YouTube Chanel that post 1 Video per Day 365 days per year with this level of accuracy and professionalism in their reviews...
Spoiler Alert you cant

zMeul got a reaction from DarkBlade2117 in LTT's exclusive RX Vega teaser makes tech press unhappy
LTT's reviews since they moved their offices have turned to trash - even Linus with how own mouth said he's producing entertainment and not reviews
and it's quite baffling how a ginormous amount of floatplaners are new forum posters

zMeul got a reaction from flibberdipper in Coffee Lake to have similar TIM as KabyLake?
except it's not the TIM that is the problem, it's the z height between the die and the IHS
but, no matter how many times this is told and repeated, here, on Anand and everywhere else ... you blame the TIM
