Oh it is. The stand is completely metal too, which is a plus I guess.

It's definitely noticably better than my old monitor. I don't really have much to compare to since it's only my second monitor ever, but they definitely pop. The whites are really "white" likewise with the blacks, and it's just more vibrant overall.

I own one of these. I prefer it to my LG 29" 1080p ultrawide, actually. Highly recommend, either for a primary display if space or budget are an issue, or as a second monitor for a main rig/main monitor for a second PC.

The thing that gets me the most is all the people who are ignorant to the different views of different Christian religions. Most people think we're all anti-gay and anti-immigration and think we follow the Bible like a history book. I'm Catholic, and I go to a very progressive (liberal) church.

Our Priest is extremely focused on others. Our wine and cheese after Mass is sponsored by the LGBT community, and we accept everybody for who they are. We don't shun Gay people, divorcees, or non-Catholics. We welcome them into the whole. We don't follow the Bible like it's etched in stone. Our Priest teaches that a lot of the Bible is metaphor. No, 2 people named Adam and Eve most likely didn't take a bite from a literal apple and then God punished all of humanity for it. It's a metaphor for how we should live our lives, and how we should follow God. Christianity and Science can coexist peacefully.

So many people think that all Christians are traditional Southern Baptists (nothing against them, but you know what I mean) and we're not. Pope Francis is one of the most progressive Popes ever, and honestly, it pisses me off that so many non-Christians profile all of us based on a small group who aren't cooperating with modern-day views and rights.

Oh I'm sure it was. I loved computers since I was like 2 years old, and kids are very naive as you know. I will admit I was the culprit of installing most of those viruses. That's what made them get a mac in the first place. I guess now its coming back to bite me.

roboplex22 got a reaction from flibberdipper in [RANT] My school is retarded...
Pretty much xD. But in the end, it actually turned out for the better. I wouldnt have ever even considered my current school otherwise. It's the "ghetto" school of my area, but it's a gem. Amazing academies, I'm in the tech one, and it was like an embarrassment to everyone at my old school. Since they were a private school, they didn't have to abide by any 504 plan or anything. I heard even that they were wanting to put in some special needs type teachers, but the admins said no. It's about easiness now adays. Keeping the "rich, smart, easy, no frills" kids and turning away the more dull, or sick students. A 90% college acceptance rating doesn't mean shit if you kick out all the non-genius kids. To get in to that school, and stay in, you need to be either amazingly good at school, or amazingly good at sports xD.

Kay now that school is pretty fucked in the head. I'd understand it if you just skipped for a month or whatever, but since you were out pretty much on medical leave... What the actual fuck.

Bring lots of warm clothes and stash lots of water, blankets and food (and kitty litter, flashlights, batteries + a shovel) in your car just in case you get stuck or something. And please do not drive if the snow or roads are really bad (like white outs = don't drive). Period. I mean it isn't worth risking your life for, is it? Just know speed is your enemy in such conditions, and go really slow (or rather accelerate and decelerate slowly) if you can and lastly do not panic (or fight against it) if you slide/skid. Doing so will only make it worse.

Just a disclosure, this post has no real substance, I just wanted to share something I thought was pretty funny.

So I decided to do some internet Speedtests at my High school. One during class time, and one during lunch. Both on the same, public wifi network for students. What I found made me just start laughing. If the server had a brain, I can just imagine it would be thinking "Doing ok...doing ok...doing ok...OH CRAP ITS 11:45...BOOM!"

roboplex22 got a reaction from PlayStation 2 in Why do you think Florida/other US states are so obsessed with standardized testing?
Same here. I went to my geom teacher for help because I wasn't sure what was going on, and you could tell she thought it was just BS. In Florida, last year was a shit show. They switched over from the infamous FCAT to the FSA all online tests. The system screwed up, tests weren't being graded, and some schools just said screw it and didn't even test. Parents were rebelling, refusing to let their kids test, and it was just awful. I had teachers saying I needed to test, others said dont bother.I still haven't gotten my Reading scores FROM LAST YEAR, and I'm not even sure if they were graded. I mean I'm fine with a few tests, but if I take them for no reason, or they just don't have their shit together, then why bother?

It makes absolutely no contribution to this thread at all, but my great-grandfather was one of Frank Lloyd's Wright's biggest financial investor.
He has two houses built by him

Actually: you could talk about the first house, my grandmother's mother didn't like the lack of light, so that was an oversight

the second house was built with several houses (like condos) attached to a main one, so that a family could be connected. Aunt/Uncle in one side, Grandparents in the other, another family in the main one. Connected a whole family.

Idk. Hope I gave you some ideas....?
