The first 2 delays I was like, aight makes sense. Just polish it. But at this point its becoming a huge joke that will never end. This is the issue. If companies would stop trying to rush dates out, we wouldn't know about delays. At best state a placeholder date like a year, then when you're 200% certain its going to be ready at a specific date, state it.

They shouldn't have released it for 'gold status' and promised no more delays. This is their fault for making promises they couldn't keep. Yes the whole argument for a better product is nice, but its not enough anymore.

Oh its certainly not the worst thing that's happening right now lmao, far from it. In fact I wasn't really sharing this newsto start a whining thread. I mostly wanted to inform people, because Cyberpunk is definitely one of the bigger upcoming titles. I'm hoping it won't be bad and that its gonna be enjoyable when it finally does release, but that only time can tell.

I'm certainly not going to argue against the fact that they care about the game. This is something I'll always give to CDPR. And I am certainly not going to argue against half assed products being delivered either. I'm just saying that for the 20+ years I've been a hardcore gamer, I see this industry that I love just getting worse and worse every years and its starting to piss me off. There are so many issues and there's nothing we can do, mostly because the casual market only cares about the present moment when they enjoy a game. Okay there's not ONLY the casual market at fault, corporate greed is on the front lines on where the fault lies.. But you get what I mean, I'm sure.

I agree, but it’s diminishing returns and you see the same problem in PC gaming too, it’s just that consoles have generations so it’s easier to compare.
 
It requires significantly greater amount of processing power to to achieve a the same noticeable visual impact. It could probably be represented by an exponential curve. This decreasing visual jump is nothing new and it was discussed last Gen as even though the graphics had improved quite a bit it wasn’t the same experience as going from ps2/Xbox to ps3/360 and that wasn’t the same as ps1 to ps2.
 
Overall I don’t think it’s a bad thing developers will have the ability to prioritize other gameplay factors without necessarily risking the apparent visual fidelity.
 
Like I said at the beginning,  this is happening in pc gaming too, just it’s less obvious in comparison. The hardware just can’t keep up and you kind of hit a wall and need to focus on other design elements.

I am trying to enjoy Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC and it gave me a lot of issues. Firstly the anti aliasing is extremely bad and NOTHING I do seems to alleviate my problem,its either the hair/beard looks extremely fugly,or the grass looks like a grid is implanted in it. I believe its called dithering? I know The Witcher 2 had such an issue as well that could never be fixed unless using some manner on supersampling(?).
Then I have this extremely weird issue that as soon as I put water quality to High or Ultra,the water seems to have some weird lines in it.its even worse when seeing from specific angles.
My pc is easily able to push out 60 FPS on a High/Ultra mix but I have NO idea how to fix these three issues(minus the water that I keep on Medium,which fixes it).

I have been playing FFXIV since 2013 non stop. Always have a sub up,its 100% worth it.

It would kinda help if you could screenshot the thing chasing you so we know what it is.

I want to add that this is very weird,all monsters have a maximum aggro range and distance they will chase you to. I have completed that game on PS4 and now playing on PC and have never seen this thing you speak of.
