LadyCore reacted to WhitetailAni in How to Shutdown Windows 10 SAFELY with no DISPLAY?
The power button will do the same thing as if you clicked "Shut down" in Windows.
If you hold it, it will force shut down.

LadyCore reacted to nbrowser in How to Shutdown Windows 10 SAFELY with no DISPLAY?
Windows 10 is default set to Shut Down if the power button is pressed for a second...like if you were turning it on.

LadyCore reacted to nbrowser in How to Shutdown Windows 10 SAFELY with no DISPLAY?
That's exactly what it'll do.

LadyCore got a reaction from Ya_Mi in How to turn off RGB lighting on my RAM when computer is off/asleep?
Ya_Mi thanks, I didn't know that. Will give that a try then!
-
LadyCore reacted to Ya_Mi in How to turn off RGB lighting on my RAM when computer is off/asleep?
In iCue, go into settings and in device settings, turn on Enable full software control. This will make it so that the ram LED lights turn off when your computer goes into sleep without needing to turn down the brightness.
Note: You might need to update the RAM firmware and delete all lightning effect then reconfigure it again then turn on Enable full software control once again.

LadyCore reacted to BobVonBob in Is an external DAC necessary for Audioengine A2+?
You don't really need all that much DAC before it makes very little difference, and the A2+ speakers are solidly past that point.

You'll be fine then

LadyCore reacted to SupaKomputa in What's the best slot to install an nvme SSD?
Yes, if you use PCIe / NVME mode in all of the M.2, you still can use all 6 of the sata.
Sata will be disable IF you use SATA mode on C or D.
So if you plug 2 m.2 SATA drive on C or D, you'll have 4 sata slot left.
Slot B won't effect anything as it cannot use SATA mode.

LadyCore reacted to Mister Woof in 10700 avaliable now (not preorder)
They removed hyperthreading, which was a standard feature of the i7, just so they could create an i9.
The i7-9700/k was the only mainstream desktop i7 EVER to lack hyperthreading.
This was a dishonest marketing scheme that swindled the consumer into buying an i9.
It's painfully obvious Intel themselves are aware of this shortcoming because 10th generation they have included hyperthreading as a standard feature on everything.

LadyCore reacted to Corsair Nick in How long does an AIO typically last for before replacing it?
All Corsair Hydro Coolers come with a 5-year warranty. If it were to fail within those 5-years, you just need to submit a ticket on our support site, and we can exchange your unit for a new one. Let me know if you have questions about a specific model, and I can help you out.

LadyCore reacted to Revan654 in Cablemods cables, Paracord or Nylon?
I don't suggest doing that, You will risk the sleeving being pulled out. CableMod crimps the sleeving directly to the terminals, Which is a giant NO in my books. In the past I had a few cablemod cables, The sleeving did come out from the terminal.
Sleeving should be melted to the terminals, it will create a much better bond and nearly impossible for the sleeving to pulled out. Handmade cables >>>>>> Machine made Cables.

LadyCore reacted to Oshino Shinobu in Cablemods cables, Paracord or Nylon?
Yeah, the tuft "issue" isn't really a problem for most people as you run the cables once and then you're done, not like there's going to be much to snag on.
-
LadyCore reacted to Oshino Shinobu in Cablemods cables, Paracord or Nylon?
I'd go for paracord. It looks and feels nicer and is more flexible than nylon. It's not quite as durable though and if you catch it on something sharp, it can snag and make little tufts.

LadyCore reacted to Oshino Shinobu in Cablemod
ModFlex is basically Paracord, so it's quite a soft and flexible material but it is fairly prone to snagging on sharp objects, causing it to fray. ModMesh is more plastic-y, like MDPC's sleeving. It's more rigid than ModFlex and doesn't fray.
Personally, I would go for ModFlex as it looks better IMO.

LadyCore reacted to Kilrah in Using 55" 4K TV as a monitor bad for your eyes?
Nope, no problem. Been using TVs as displays for more than 10 years as well, 4K since 2014 when the first HDMI2 GPUs arrived. Currently on 49" curved.

LadyCore reacted to Enderman in Using 55" 4K TV as a monitor bad for your eyes?
I have a 58" NU7100 from samsung, previously I used a 1080p one and althought you could easily see the pixels and it sucked for text it worked fine for gaming, very immersive.
The only down side of using a TV like this is that you're limited to 60Hz.
Only very few high end TVs support 4k 120Hz, and even fewer do that have displayport (cause we have no HDMI 2.1 GPUs yet sadly)
But the price tag is way too high, like $5000+
A 4k TV is like $500, cheaper than many high end monitors.
Maybe in like 5 years we will see them become affordable, but for now nope.
The main benefit of a screen like this is having basically four 27" monitors with no bezels so you can use separate windows for productivity if you want but also watch movies at full size, or basically any content, since 99.99% of stuff is 16:9 anyway...
Some games give you extra horizontal FOV only if you have ultrawide, and you can find ways to still do that on a TV so you basically have a 49"ultrawide but when you do anything else you get extra vertical realestate (for coding, video editing, other games, etc)

LadyCore reacted to Enderman in Using 55" 4K TV as a monitor bad for your eyes?
Nah dude it works great.
Been using TVs for almost a decade now, people really need to realize this is way better than multi-monitor 😁

LadyCore reacted to tep in NZXT H710i question about RGB lighting/fans connections
The fans and the RGB strips can be daisy chained, maximum of 40 LEDs per channel and that controller has 2 channels totalling 80 LEDs.
The fans has 8 LEDs.
The RGB LED strips has 10 LEDs each.
so with 4 fans and 2 strips you're still below the maximum that controller can handle.
