I would not get the i7 10700k, if you only want the gaming performance get the i5 10600k, if you are into overclocking, you can do some easy tinkering with it and get close to i9 performance.
 
if you are into productivity get the ryzen 3900x (I think its $20 more), which will run circles around the i7.
 
Otherwise the 2070 Super will run games like fine. But be prepared to get a little less lifespan out of it, since the new consoles are launching soon (which are supposed to have something like 2080 super level of graphics).

I mean intel "winning" is like saying "yeah my cars zero to 60 time is 6 seconds" when its only 6.99 seconds and only has a top speed of like 140. They arent winning by any standard anymore, lets be real

An i5-10600K is available for $280. It is 5-6% faster than a Ryzen 3600. The Ryzen 2600's MSRP is $200. It can be bought, as of writing for $170. This is to say nothing of the cost of the motherboards.

*shocked face* oh no, not a 2% difference on a game when alot of customers are using Ryzen to do stuff other than gaming!
 

But…when we drop to 1080p with a graphics card as expensive as a used car, we can see a 2% difference!

I unfortunatly have a friend who I love very much but it so dense when it come to blind consumerism for their overlords over at Apple. They constantly argue that quote "IpHoNeS aNd MaCs DoNt/CaNt GeT vIrUsS" or is still on the topic of "Be careful if you drop it, it might explode and have its battery come out" or the whole image quality debacle. Frankly at this point I've given up because he uses every point that most mindless consumers use when comparing Macs or Iphones to Androids or Windows, from these points above or to a previously mentioned comment about how PC's fill up faster or are slower. One of my least favorite topics to talk to him about is the whole water resistance thing that iphones have or the fact his newest iphone is slow after the latest update. But like its said, that what you call mindless consumerism...

When the minimum cooling requirement is a 240mm AIO, your CPU is a hot mess. Using insane amounts of power, insane amounts of heat and needing insane boards for 4% more gaming performance? This is sad

Here, the i9-10900KF is going to be about 20% more expensive than the 3900X.
 
At "flagship" level it already looks like a lost battle, especially considering type of workload, price and TDP issues.
 
On the other hand, for gaming I am really curious to see what the i3-10320 and the i5-10600KF can offer compared to AMD alternatives.

I think that's what you call mindless consumerism, and personally I really hate it but there isn't too much you can do about it other than ignore it.
All the laptops we got were Windows based ones so thankfully I never had to explain to my parents why does a macbook spontaneously break.

NO it doesn't blade servers will do that in 2U, blades are made for both AMD and intel.
 
Custom EPYC is no different than 90%+ of xeons sold most go to T1 with modification done so that google or Facebook gets exactly what they want.
For EPYC is is just going to be clockspeed vs cores vs cache. AMD has a MI60 that is custom order which is likely what is being used. the mi50 is very close to it

I'm going to stop derailing this thread because I rest my point, ether you haven't read any of the news around epyc or you so dug in that intel makes better chips you won't realize what is happening.

And when you consider that the most popular monitor type (I think) is 1080p 60hz monitors, it literally makes no difference since you literally don't really benefit from anything over 60fps
