CJHP got a reaction from NF-A12x25 in Human Eye Model?
Don't suppose anyone has any idea where I could buy a scale size model of a human eye with an accurately sized lens and retina? Since getting a hold of a real one (for some reason) seems to be quite hard xD

This is for a project, pls don't call authorities haha

No.  Blower fans are centrifugical.  Air compresses at the outer edge of the disk.  Running it in the other direction won’t make air compress at the center, it will just point the blades badly.  If you reversed the motor on a blower card it would still blow in the same direction, just not as well.

no, fan design not work like this, a fan could be designed to work like this but would be quite different

"In 2018, Intel announced Vaunt, a set of smart glasses that are designed to appear like conventional glasses, which use retinal projection via a vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser and holographic grating.[6] Intel gave up on this project,[7] and sold the technology to North.[8]"

Off that exact wiki page you linked: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_retinal_display. Intel already fiddled with lasers. But again it's a purpose built device and pretty different from a projector, I don't see why getting a projector to act like a VRD is better than just making a VRD in the first place. Seems to be a case of reinventing the wheel.

Not until they're much much closer in terms of dollar per meg,   and also in overall capacity.   There are a lot of people who require large amounts of storage,  and SSD is simply not the best option for them at this time.

    I love them too.

My current case is a Fractal Define R5 and it is positively *glorious*.    Sleek,  black and unassuming.  It sits (very!!) quietly under my desk and no-one would notice it's there.

It's also fabulous to work with.  Building this PC was a complete pleasure.   It's got awesome noise suppression,  and I literally cannot hear the difference when I switch it on or off.  I've never had a PC that quiet before.   Build quality is also very high.  Internally,  there's plenty of space for everything you might want to load into it.

    Good luck on  your project!

If you need more capacity, you can go for Hard Disk Drives, but, if you need something that will last longer, a Solid State Dive is better.

No guarantee SSD will last longer, depends on your usage.
Got a bunch of old HDD they still working till now.
got 5 ssds, 2 of them are dead less than 2 years.
If HDD breaks, you probably can still rescue the data.
    But ssd, next to impossible.

It's a bit silly to not have an SSD, but consider that a lot of people will be alright with only having place for 0 - 2 2.5" SSD's (as M.2 SSD's are quite common nowadays).
But personally I would want space for 2+ 3.5" drives too.

every build now should have a ssd imo, i still use a HDD to store my games because they have a  bigger capacity and is cheaper.

but if i can afford an all ssd build, i would gladly do so.

I'm a huge maintenance/clean freak. Matte black is great (for me) because smudges and fingerprints aren't nearly as visible on matte black surfaces compared to smoother, lighter-colored surfaces.

In terms of looks, it's a helluva lot easier trying to match an all-black build to your room's decor, and also to find black PC parts that match the inner aesthetics of your build. Granted, the latter perhaps matters only if the case has TG panels, or if the owner is a tad bit OCD (like I am 😛).

Also, hm... Another thing I appreciate about matte black cases is that they don't light up like a disco ball under a dozen lights. Think, car showrooms. Matte black cases just sit there, quiet and unassuming.

Hm... No "favorites" to speak of yet, as I only have a case sample of one, but I do like my current EVGA DG-75. Frankly speaking, its thermals suck, and I'm making do by taking the front panel off when I fold/crunch BOINC. But it is matte black (with a thick, tinted TG side panel), and the build quality is pretty impressive.

So for example, on recent LTT videos like this
Where Anthony builds his PC lying down on the desk

Whereas Linus, builds his PC standing up on its case feet.

    Thanks!
